Make your own cleaning products – start your own business – make a fortune and save a fortune.
If you have a business which uses cleaning product formulas or detergents on a regular basis, you’re missing out on huge profits if you’re not making your own cleaning products.
How easy is it to make your own cleaning products?
Below is a sample recipe for a popular cleaning product, along with the method of manufacturing. This will give you an idea of how easy it is to manufacture detergents and cleaning products. You can easily make your own laundry detergent, make your own toilet cleaner, make window and glass cleaning spray - make virtually any domestic, commercial or industrial cleaning product.
The actual ingredients have not been listed – this recipe is intended only to give you an overview of the manufacturing process. The AustraLab program provides the exact specifications of ingredients and the accompanying safety procedures for you to make your own professional quality cleaning products.
The AustraLab recipes for cleaning products and detergent formulas are the same as those used by major manufacturing companies. They are intended for those wanting to start a serious, high-profit business – they are not home-crafter “make your own cleaning products recipes”. Home crafter recipes for cleaning products are not suitable for retail sale – click here and here and here to read my posts about the problems with home-made detergent recipes.

You can make your own cleaning products with essential oils and start an aromatherapy designer cleaning products business. Here, the potential for creativity and innovation is unlimited – try eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil for their antiseptic properties, citrus oils for removing odors …
Some cleaning product recipes require only one phase in the mixing process, others require more. But the instructions are easy to follow – you really don’t need any qualifications in science or chemistry to make top quality cleaning products and detergents.
You’ll notice this formula contains over 75% water – hence the huge profit margins to be made when you make your own cleaning products, toiletries and cosmetics.
The most important factors to remember to ensure the success of the products you make:
- Always weigh your ingredients carefully and accurately – no guesswork!
- Always add ingredients exactly in the order provided in the instructions.
- Always take appropriate safety precautions when you make your own cleaning products – wear gloves, protective apron, mask, etc. The AustraLab manuals comprehensively cover all required safety measures for the manufacturing process. Making detergents is quite safe – just follow the common-sense guidelines.
You don’t need complicated mixing machinery – large drums or barrels will do just fine. When you become established, you can always upgrade your equipment. I started out with basic equipment just like this, as have many other big manufacturers. You’ll often find makeshift mixing containers in the back rooms of big companies – they’re still used frequently for experiments and small batches.
If you’re a savvy operator, you can make your own cleaning products for use within your own business, start a wholesale cleaning products business, as well as retailing your products to your existing customer base.
This is an ideal side business for anyone who provides home, office, commercial, industrial or janitorial cleaning services. When you start to make your own cleaning products, you probably won’t believe how much of your profits you have been giving to your cleaning product suppliers. Make a larger batch, label your products and sell them to other cleaning companies, wholesalers, retailers, etc.
There’s virtually no limit to who will buy your detergents and cleaning products. Apart from households, just every business on the planet uses cleaning products – from shops and offices to industry – transport, health, food, manufacturing …
Private label manufacturing is a rapidly growing business sector – making private label cleaning products and detergents (and private label hair care) is still largely untapped, and the potential is enormous.
